Welcome to ABR Explorer

ABR Explorer is an online analytics tool for government agencies to search, query, visualise and download Australian Business Register (ABR) data.

Check if your agency is already an authorised government agency to access ABR data. If your agency does not a have access you may be eligible to request access.

You will need a myGovID and be authorised in the Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) to access ABR Explorer.

ABR protected information has been made available to the head of your agency under section 30 of the A New Tax System (Australian Business Number) Act 1999 and in accordance with the signed partnership agreement.

ABR protected information is only to be accessed and used by agency staff and/or authorised third parties in the course of their official employment for the purposes of carrying out functions of the agency.

Anyone who accesses ABR Explorer is considered to be an 'entrusted person'. There are restrictions on entrusted persons recording and disclosing ABR protected information. An entrusted person must also store ABR protected information in accordance with relevant privacy legislation and guidelines. Penalties can apply for breaching these provisions.
